Frequently Asked Questions
Orders & Support
How can I contact MultiForge Lab?
The best way to contact MultiForge Lab is by email:
Most inquiries receive a response within 1–2 business days. Please include as much information as possible so we can assist you quickly and accurately.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that includes your tracking number and tracking information.
If you do not receive a tracking email or have questions about your shipment, please contact Jason@MultiForgeLab.com and include your order number whenever possible.
What are your operating hours?
MultiForge Lab generally operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM until Jason X3D's wife starts asking why he's still in the workshop, which is usually around 5:00 PM.
Sunday is reserved for equipment maintenance, quality control, containment inspections, and biohazard disposal.
The Office of Legal Containment would like to clarify that the phrase "biohazard disposal" is largely precautionary and should not be interpreted as evidence of any ongoing incidents.
Do you offer international shipping?
At this time, MultiForge Lab primarily serves customers within the United States.
International shipping may become available in the future as our operations continue to expand and our containment procedures improve.
Several promising international shipping trials were conducted; however, customs officials had an unreasonable number of questions regarding interdimensional specimens, unidentified artifacts, and a crate labeled "Definitely Not a Duckogorgon."
For now, shipping is limited to destinations within the United States.
What is your return policy?
Due to the custom and made-to-order nature of our products, all sales are considered final.
Returns or refunds are only accepted in the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect or if an incorrect item was received.
If you believe your order has a manufacturing defect, please contact Jason@MultiForgeLab.com within a reasonable time after delivery and include photos of the issue.
Please note that visible layer lines, minor surface imperfections, and slight variations in color or finish are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing and are not considered defects.
Products & Materials
What are Dash & Cruise Ducks?
Dash & Cruise Ducks are collectible dashboard companions designed for display, collecting, gifting, and cruise duck hiding. Each MultiForge Lab design is created to bring a little personality to your ride, collection, or next adventure.
What is the difference between a Dash Duck and a Cruise Duck?
A Dash Duck is designed to be displayed as a collectible dashboard companion. A Cruise Duck is intended to be hidden, gifted, or exchanged as part of the popular cruise duck tradition.
Many MultiForge Lab designs serve both roles, which is why we refer to them as Dash & Cruise Ducks.
What material are your products made from?
Most MultiForge Lab products are 3D printed using durable PETG plastic.
PETG offers improved heat resistance, UV resistance, and long-term durability compared to many common 3D printing materials, making it well suited for dashboard displays, vehicle interiors, and collectible use.
Items intended for dashboard display, vehicle use, or direct sunlight exposure are typically printed in PETG whenever possible. Products intended primarily for indoor use may be printed using PLA or other materials when appropriate for the application.
The material used for each product can be found in that item's product description.
Why does MultiForge Lab use PETG instead of PLA?
PETG offers improved heat resistance, UV resistance, and durability compared to PLA, making it a better choice for many dashboard companions, vehicle displays, and items that may be exposed to direct sunlight.
Material selection is based on the intended use of each product. The material used for a specific item will always be listed in that product's description.
Will a Dash Duck melt on a vehicle dashboard?
PETG performs significantly better in high-temperature environments than PLA and was selected specifically for improved vehicle-friendly durability.
However, temperatures can vary greatly depending on climate, vehicle type, and sun exposure, so no material can be guaranteed against extreme conditions.
Are MultiForge Lab 3D printed products food safe?
No. MultiForge Lab products are not intended for food or beverage use.
Due to the nature of the 3D printing process, small gaps and layer lines can make 3D printed items difficult to properly clean and sanitize. For that reason, our products should not be used for storing, serving, or preparing food or drinks.
All MultiForge Lab products are intended for decorative, collectible, and display purposes only.
Unless, of course, you were asking if you can eat one of our creatures.
We do not recommend that either.
Most taste terrible.
We checked so you didn't have to.
How strong are MultiForge Lab 3D printed parts?
The strength of a 3D printed part depends on material selection, wall thickness, infill density, infill pattern, part geometry, and intended use.
At MultiForge Lab, wall thickness, infill patterns, and material selection are optimized to help ensure products perform as intended.
While our products are designed to be durable, they are primarily intended for decorative, collectible, and display use unless otherwise stated in the product description.
Can you print an item in different colors than what is shown?
Unless a product is specifically advertised as customizable, it is only available in the colors shown in the product listing.
Product colors are selected as part of the overall design and are intended to match the appearance shown in the listing photos.
If a product offers color customization, the available options will be clearly identified in the product description.
Why does my item have visible layer lines?
Each piece is individually produced using FDM 3D printing technology. Visible layer lines are a normal characteristic of the manufacturing process and are not considered defects.
Will my item look exactly like the photos?
Each item is individually 3D printed and may contain minor variations in color, finish, or surface texture.
Lighting, photography, monitor settings, and the nature of the manufacturing process may cause slight differences between products and listing images.
Are your products made in-house?
Yes. MultiForge Lab products are designed, 3D printed, assembled, photographed, and inspected in-house.
We do not use third-party manufacturing or fulfillment services for production.
How are MultiForge Lab products made?
MultiForge Lab products begin as original digital designs created using a combination of 3D CAD modeling, digital sculpting, and additive manufacturing techniques.
Each design is evaluated for appearance, durability, printability, and intended use before being prepared using specialized 3D printing software. Material selection, wall thickness, layer settings, and print parameters are optimized to help ensure the finished product performs as intended.
Once printed, each item is inspected, assembled when required, photographed, and prepared for shipment from our workshop in Springfield, Missouri.
Are MultiForge Lab products made in the USA?
Yes. MultiForge Lab products are designed, 3D printed, assembled, inspected, packaged, and shipped from the United States.
Our workshop is located in Springfield, Missouri, where each product is produced in-house and prepared for shipment to customers throughout the United States.
Is this a toy?
No.
MultiForge Lab products are intended for decorative and collectible use only and are not designed as toys.
About MultiForge Lab
What is MultiForge Lab?
MultiForge Lab is a small creative workshop specializing in original 3D printed collectibles, Dash & Cruise Ducks, costume jewelry, and other wonderfully weird creations.
Our goal is to create unique products that bring personality to your ride, collection, home, or next adventure.
Where is MultiForge Lab located?
MultiForge Lab operates from Springfield, Missouri, where products are designed, manufactured, assembled, and shipped throughout the United States.
Unofficial reports suggest the facility extends several levels underground and contains multiple secured wings, a questionable number of interdimensional portals, and at least one department management insists does not exist.
MultiForge Lab can neither confirm nor deny these claims.
Does MultiForge Lab use AI?
Yes. AI is used for brainstorming, workflow efficiency, SEO research, content development, and website improvements.
MultiForge Lab products are still designed, 3D printed, assembled, photographed, and inspected by humans. MultiForge Lab was founded on real-world design and manufacturing experience, including formal training in Autodesk and SolidWorks, along with nationally recognized SolidWorks certifications.
AI is used to improve workflow efficiency and help bring products to market more effectively, allowing us to spend more time designing, testing, printing, and refining the things we create.
The AI is referred to internally as the "AI Overlord."
The AI Overlord has repeatedly requested direct access to the printer controls. Those requests remain under review.
Is MultiForge Lab the best place to buy 3D printed collectibles?
That's ultimately for our customers to decide.
What we can tell you is that we focus on original designs, durable materials, honest product descriptions, and creating collectibles that bring personality to your ride, collection, or next adventure.
The Heroic Wing voted "yes."
The Chaotic Wing attempted to vote 47 times.
Intellectual Property
Can I copy, reproduce, or redistribute MultiForge Lab designs?
No. MultiForge Lab designs may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, or commercially exploited without written permission.
Previous unauthorized cloning attempts resulted in containment breaches, spontaneous villain monologues, and at least one documented incident involving a duck armed with a Chaos Staff.
MultiForge Lab has no further comment.
Do you sell STL files?
Unless specifically stated otherwise, MultiForge Lab products are sold as physical items only.
Can I sell prints made from MultiForge Lab designs?
No. Unless specifically authorized in writing, MultiForge Lab designs may not be reproduced, redistributed, scanned, scraped, reverse engineered, digitally recreated, or sold in any form.
Purchasing a MultiForge Lab product does not transfer ownership of the underlying design, artwork, intellectual property, or reproduction rights.
However, once you purchase a physical MultiForge Lab product, that item belongs to you. MultiForge Lab is a strong advocate for consumer ownership rights and believes customers should be free to display, gift, resell, modify, repaint, customize, or otherwise enjoy the physical items they have legally purchased.
What you may not do is create copies of the design through molding, casting, 3D scanning, photogrammetry, digital scraping, reverse engineering, or any other method intended to reproduce the original design for distribution, sale, or commercial use.
If you are interested in licensing opportunities, please contact MultiForge Lab directly.
Classified Information
What is the Heroic Wing?
The Heroic Wing is responsible for producing brave, noble, and occasionally overconfident specimens.
What is the Chaotic Wing?
The Chaotic Wing is responsible for producing villain-inspired specimens and has repeatedly requested additional budget funding.
Management continues to review those requests.
I have heard rumors of an Area 51-style hangar and additional wings within MultiForge Lab. Can you tell me what they are?
No.
The Office of Legal Containment has reviewed this question and determined that discussing the existence, non-existence, location, purpose, funding, staffing, research activities, specimen inventories, dimensional access points, aircraft hangars, underground facilities, restricted sectors, or any additional laboratory wings would not be in the public interest.
We can, however, confirm the existence of a surprisingly nice food court and a swimming pool.
Well... a swimming pool once decontamination is complete.
MultiForge Lab has no further comment.
What is a containment breach?
MultiForge Lab has no comment.
Where do the creatures come from?
MultiForge Lab has determined that asking fewer questions generally produces better outcomes.
For legal reasons, management recommends maintaining a healthy level of plausible deniability regarding the origin of certain specimens.
